BYU Basketball Lands Commitment from European Big Man Mihailo Boskovic

International Prospect to Join Cougars for 2023-24 Season

PROVO, Utah – BYU men's basketball has added another piece to its future with the commitment of European big man Mihailo Boskovic. The 6-foot-11, 220-pound center from Serbia is set to join the Cougars for the 2023-24 season.

Boskovic's Impressive Stats and Accolades

Boskovic has made a name for himself in Europe, playing for Mega Basket in the Adriatic League. In the 2022-23 season, he averaged 9.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game. He also shot an impressive 62.5% from the field.

Boskovic has also represented Serbia at the youth level, helping his country win a silver medal at the 2022 FIBA U20 European Championship. He was named to the All-Tournament Team after averaging 11.6 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.

BYU Excited About Boskovic's Addition

BYU head coach Mark Pope is excited about what Boskovic brings to the Cougars. "Mihailo is a skilled and athletic big man who will add size and depth to our frontcourt," Pope said. "He has a great understanding of the game and a high basketball IQ. We believe he has the potential to be a major contributor for us."

Boskovic is the second European player to commit to BYU for the 2023-24 season, joining French guard Enzo Shahrvini. The Cougars are looking to build on their success from this past season, when they finished with a 25-10 record and reached the NCAA Tournament.
